    Hello all,

As you can see in my video...I struggled a good amount. I tried to incorporate new saying such as "welcome back", "thank you", "at the university" instead of just sticking to "I like" and "I don't like". I also incorporated saying such as "I like learning math" and "I like teaching math". There were a couple phrases that I definitely know I messed up on so it might not make sense. I tried to remember as much as I could. I think being able to communicate things that you like and don't like is very important in any language especially if you're at a restaurant. Overall, it was a great learning experience because I was able to learn new vocabulary like math, science, university, which sounded very similar as you would normally say it. I also noticed that "apprendre" looks very similar to "apprender" in Spanish but was pronounced very differently of course. I would say that comparing some French words to Spanish helps me memorize them better.

    Learning Language Experience:

This week was a little bit challenging for me. Just like Kenia, I also wanted to incorporate new words into my video such as, "Thanks for watching, I like to teach, I like to learn" etc. However, it was not as easy as I thought it would be. Throughout my video, there were moments where I had trouble recalling some of the words. I also had some trouble with pronunciation like when I said, "Thanks for watching" in French. I say the ONLY word I felt 100% confident in pronouncing was the word "Social" in Social Studies. It was partly because social is pronounced almost exactly the same way in Spanish as it does in French. Overall, it was a good experience creating this week's video. It helped me take the time to really comprehend the vocabulary and work on sounding out my words, based on memory. It also helped me learn how to display my likes and dislikes, which is very important in almost every language, especially while traveling. I say based on this week's learning, I learned some more vocabulary that will benefit in the future. However, I still need to work on my pronunciation and ability to recall a greater amount of context, so that there are not as many pauses throughout my future videos.

Thank you and Looking forward to next week!

    Hello everyone,

This week, I had trouble with making sure I created sentences that were gramatically correct as well as properly speaking French in a informal conversation and a formal conversation. I made sure to use "vous" and "tu" as needed but I struggled with conjugating the sentences. I also struggled with pronunciation. I tried to say the sentences over and over again with hopes that my pronunciation would improve. As you can see from the video, I struggled with pronouncing words correctly. I struggled with saying "lire" which means read. I kept saying it like the word "Leer" in Spanish.

    Good day all.

After my 5th take I was exhausted and forgetting more each time. I wanted to try to describe in more detail what I liked about UH and what I did not like, but I found myself needing to look up a lot of words to be able to do so, as such I condensed my list of things and in the end I was only able to keep 5 of 9 things I wanted to describe. (and those 5 aren't all that good either.) I did it all from memory, I know my wife and kids are sick and tired of hearing me say things out loud throughout the house, my 8 year old keeps saying "je m'appelle John, j'aime this and that..."

The hardest part was retaining a list even though I made it sequential and tied to a story of me walking around campus as to make it more personal. In the end I drew a blank and had to stop before I lost it...
